We work together for mental health
Study unit
Do you need to find motivation, sustainable routines or break isolation? We are aimed at students with experience of, or concerns about, ending up with mental illness. With us you will find a study community and individual support to be able to complete your studies!

What is the Study Unit?
Physical study environment | Flexible schedule | Social community
The study unit is a place where you can study in a supportive community. You receive supervision, daily planning meetings and help to find motivation and strategies. We mainly work individually and sit in the same room. You can also participate in forums, activities and tasks in Fountain House Stockholm. Here you are part of a community - where you can be yourself, but you don't have to be alone. Here you meet supervisors and other students. We have daily planning meetings where you can set your goals and tasks for the day. If it's difficult to get started, we always help. We use the Pomodoro time management technique.

Studying at a Fountain House
Fountain House Stockholm is not just for students. It is also a workplace where people come to recover from mental illness. We have two other units: the Kitchen Unit and the Office Unit. Our entire operation is centered around recovery and is built on volunteerism and participation. We see all of our units as a community.
Here you will find more information about the rest of the business.

Target group
Students and prospective students with mental health problems, 16-63 years old. LSS is not our main target group. If you have major support needs that require supervisor presence, privacy and a very clear structure, we will not be able to meet these needs. We have a flexible operation, sometimes with many people and impressions. This may be good to know before you book a new visit with us.
Who can I get support from?
You will receive help from people with experience in student support, planning and guidance - always with you in focus.

Amanda and Alma
Sociologists
Amanda and Alma are on site at the unit to answer questions, support, structure the work and introduce new members. You can book the support in advance via phone, text message or email. You can also raise a need when you are here. It is often possible to get support the same day.
Support from other members
At Fountain House Stockholm we also see that all members have resources and experiences to contribute. Therefore, you can also get support in certain matters from other members.
Important to know
We do not offer therapy or care. If you need support from Student Health, psychiatry, educational support or a health center, we will be happy to help you find the right function and to get in touch!
